Community Warm Space

Feed Newport is partnering with GAVO once again to launch Warm Spaces in Newport City.

This initiative aims to provide a safe and warm environment for residents during the winter season and beyond.

Warm Spaces, also known as Community Warm Hubs, offer support and warmth to individuals, particularly the elderly, vulnerable, and home workers, who struggle to keep their homes warm.

With the rise in domestic fuel prices and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for Warm Spaces has become even more evident.

Thanks to funding from the UK Government's Shared Prosperity Fund, Feed Newport has secured the necessary resources to establish and sustain Warm Spaces in Newport City.

The primary objectives of Warm Spaces include providing warmth, community support, advice and support sessions, arts and crafts activities, and food and refreshments.

Warm Spaces will be available until spring 2024 and will be located at The Cultural Food Hub.

Feed Newport is collaborating with GAVO to bring this vision to life and welcomes all individuals in Newport City to access Warm Spaces without the need for prior registration or appointments.

Volunteer opportunities are also available for those who want to contribute to the success of Warm Spaces.

Join us in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all Newport City residents.
