Pillgwenlly Community Shop was established February 2020.

Our Community Shop provides residents of Pillgwenlly and Newport with discounted food parcels.

​

Every Thursday we are open 10am-2pm.

​

What's in a discounted food parcel?

​

• One bag of non-perishable food items, fresh fruit/vegetables, Chilled foods

• One bag of supermarket surplus food items

How do I join the Community Shop?

 

Simply pop along on a Thursday with your proof of low income, benefits or pension and your weekly membership fee.​

Plastic Bag Free

In March 2022 we decided to go plastic bag free.

​

When you come to the Community Shop you will receive your food items in one of our canvas shopping bags.

​

Bring your canvas bag each week and we will swap it with a new one.
